Workday is a cloud enterprise management (ERP) software vendor that provides human capital and financial management solutions for medium to large corporations, including Netflix, Amazon, and Hewlett Packard. I had the pleasure of joining the talented Financials UX team as a Product Design Intern, Summer 2019.

My summer at Workday was marked by lots of personal and professional growth as a designer. Here are some takeaways from my time there:

1. When designing for a complex domain space, collaboration with SMEs is key.
2. Include stakeholders early on in design - making sure user goals and stakeholder visions align is an big part of the job.
3. Sit far away from the snacks!!
